These were pretty inexpensive, and you pretty much get what you pay for. I tried them because of all the glowing reviews, but some of the negative reviews complaining about the thinness of the gel pad are spot on. I have an older pair of Pearl Izumi’s and the padding in these gloves is MARKEDLY thinner than the Pearl’s. When I first got them they felt ok, but after a month or so of light use, the padding seems even thinner. The padding feels like gel, but possibly mixed with cheap foam as well, which may be why the padding seems thinner now. I’m almost tempted to cut them apart and see if that’s the case, but not unless/until I get replacements. Also, the padding on the palms is thicker than the padding under the finger base, which really feels more like foam than gel. On my Pearl’s, the finger base padding is quite narrow in width, but the thickness is good. On these, the strip is pretty wide, but the thickness is inadequate.

The overall quality seems decent. Only a few loose threads, but unlike other complaints, I don’t feel like these will fall apart soon, though again, I’ve only used them for a month or so, and no long rides, just my regular 30 min cardio rides.

Since I think you get what you pay for, and these are inexpensive, I can’t complain too much. However, if you’re expecting $20 gloves for only $9, you’re not being realistic. Whether or not $9 gloves are good enough for you, only you can decide. Personally, if you want a good pair of riding gloves I’d pass on these.

Gloves, low quality. More precisely as follows: Fabric is good, but a thread stick out on all sides. The low price is low quality. you can see that everything is done in haste at the Chinese factory. look at my video review http://youtu.be/Jt-9Kfp2xaw
