^ Paul Components has been turning out the cool parts for 25 years now, starting with a quick release. A similar quick release, though improved in ways only Paul could imagine, is still available today and called the Paul Component Engineering Quick Release. Like all things Paul this product is built, or actually handmade one at a time by real people in Chico, CA. And, like many of their components, they manage to make it not just a headturner but also a bit more user-friendly than existing parts. For example, this QR has an oval head, so more material is where you need it, and less where you don’t. The nuts have matching O-rings and a thread friction element to keep them where they should be when the wheels are removed. Just a few of the touches you can find with Paul Componentry.
