Sturdy SMALL bag — good value! Double check size before ordering!, August 10, 2015

I bought this handlebar bag for a week-long bike tour for a light touring bike with a narrow cockpit (which makes many handlebar bags too wide to fit between my shifter/brake cables — about a 11″ wide space max without bending the cables!).

MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS IS THE SMALLER SIZE BAG THAT IBERA MAKES! This is very very hard to tell here, because it gives the wrong size in the product description! This is the size I wanted, but be very careful to make sure you’ve got the right size! The outer dimensions of the main portion of this bag is about 9″ x 6″ x 6″. (The exterior pockets come out a bit further

    Here are my thoughts:
I didn’t use this for a camera, so the padding was not necessary but it was fine. The main compartment held sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, sunglasses, and small assorted items. The front and side pockets were useful for other camping items: a small first aid kit, a knife, some pens, etc.

The rain cover kept my things dry in a couple of significant downpours. I think it might eventually let some moisture in, but after two different 30+ minute rainstorms, my stuff was still dry. If I’d had a camera in it, I might have also put a trash bag over it, but that’s cause I fret about such things.

The mounting hardware was sturdy and kept the bag in place through the whole tour. I didn’t have terribly heavy things in the bag, but it didn’t sag at all or move even going over some nasty bumps. It was also easy to mount on the bike, though really fat handlebars may have a problem with the mounting hardware. The mounting also left plenty of space for my hands between the handlebars and the bag. As another reviewer noted, the button mechanism for releasing the mounted bag is a little tight at first, but I found that mine loosened up (or maybe I just got used to it).

I was glad to have a map window on top of the bag for my cue sheets, but it did produce some glare on sunny days and i ended up clipping a bandanna to the top on sunny days. I also wish that the front had a place to mount a front light (though I just wrapped my camping head lamp around the top of the bag when I wanted a headlight, and that worked just fine).

Overall, I was very happy with the bag, especially with its mounting system and sturdiness: It doesn’t hold a lot, though, and if I had a bigger cockpit, I might opt for the larger bag. It is an excellent little bag and a good value!

My parents bought me a really nice bike bag last Christmas for the back of my bike. On my first bike trip in the Spring I took along my, camera, water and snacks. That is when I realized it probably wasn’t smart to put my camera in with water in the event that the bottles leaked. That is when I found this bag that you can mount to your handlebars. This actually works out much better if you are riding along and want to capture a picture of wildlife in a matter of seconds. It is definitely easier access for a camera than having to either get off your bike or really stretch to grab your camera in the back. This is a nice sturdy bag and fits my Pentax DSLR camera perfectly. There are also additional pockets for your keys, phone etc. If you are riding by map there is a clear divider on the top of the bag that you could reference. When we ride around town I use this space to put our garage door opener in. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend this bag to others.

This is a great bag! I originally picked it for the purpose of riding my bike to a concert, and then not having a heavy bag to hold while standing for several hours. I can fit the essentials in it: My chunky wallet and smartphone (in a huge otterbox commuter case), keys, chapstick, etc. I love that the fabric is water repellant and wipes clean, that the strap is adjustable, removable, and reflective, and that there is an interior zip pocket. I also have the armitage sachel, and I take that one to work on the back of my bike every single day! Po Campo is great!

My only beef with this bag is that the color is not as expected. It looks like a light pink coral on my screen, but it is far more orange in person. Still cute, but I was hoping for pinker.

Great Product, Very Functional and Works Well with Bromptons!, September 19, 2014

I love this bag, I purchased it to clip on my Brompton folding bike and hold my keys/wallet when I didn’t want to lug the larger front bag. The quality is great, it has a water-resistant type outer texture, and zips securely. I find that it can easily accommodate a billfold-size wallet, phone and keys. There is a small inner pocket as well (though it is narrow and probably best for holding business cards or similar.

The bag clips easily on my Brompton handlebars (M-type) over the brake cables. Though the bag is not hard to remove, if clipped on the handlebars facing inwards, it will allow you to still fold the Brompton without removing the bag. Once removed, the bag has a nice wrist strap allowing it to be used as a small handbag.

In my opinion, this bag would be great sold as a Brompton-type accessory or alternative to a saddle bag. Very functional if you want to travel light or don’t need to tote along a larger piece of luggage.
