Just buy them already. Its not like picking a wife. Its a shoe., June 8, 2015
I’ve been using these shoes for a couple months now and I have to say there are a lot of good things going for them. They are sturdy and you can feel a solid platform to ride on as you connect to the pedal. They may not be as comfortable as a hiking shoe, but they don’t create pinch-points, or bind. My rides are typically around 10 miles mountain terrain with a lot of good climbing and I haven’t once been dying to get these off at the end of a ride. Even during a break, they are comfortable enough to leave on, something that is a welcome relief. The soles do allow a good air flow and keep your feet cool. The only things I have noticed they could do better at is to secure around the ankle; like they are missing one last set of eye-holes for the laces. But considering that can be compensated for a bit with the velcro strap, its not a big problem.

Riding DB Trace Shoes for a month now. Highly recommend., April 19, 2015

    PV_Seattle (Seattle, WA USA) –

So i have been riding a new pair of Diamondback Trace cycling shoes for about a month now.

Pros: comfortable, stiff in the right spots to support riding, reflective stitching, and velcro strap closure that pins your laces in place. These shoes are not only great cycling shoes for commuters but the recessed clips and good looks mean that I can wear them around the office for awhile until I find time to swap into regular shoes.

I haven’t ridden them on a day where rain is coming down hard so I can’t say how well they stand up to rain but they are plenty warm and comfortable for my daiiy rides.

Cons: heavy. These shoes are heavy. I guess that goes with being well built though.

It remains to be seen how they hold up but I’ve been more impressed with these shoes than any others for my routine of commuting to/from work each day.

Awesome Road Bike Shoes, February 16, 2013

I went to several of the online bike stores and could no believe the price of shoes to ride your bike with clip-less pedals, then I ran across The Gavin Elite shoes. At first I was wondering if they would be worth it to try out but now that I have them and have tried them out the are great. The fit for the size I purchased 45 or 11.5 men’s is dead on for the shoes size. When you strap in the fit is very comfortable and secure. So I clipped into the Shimano R 540 pedals and got on the indoor trainer and road for 45 minutes with no notice of soreness about the foot. The only thing I wish I had done was to purchase some riding socks, the one thing that I felt was the rib in the sock that I was wearing on my toes and that they didn’t breath very well inside the house. Now if I were outside with air movement it might of been different.

I would definitely recommend these to my friends.
Now if you are into racing and going for weight then you may want to look at the carbon shoes that are well up there in the price range.

This review is from: Gavin Elite Road Cycling Shoe
I’m been commuting for the last 1yr and these are the 1st pair of clip less shoes I’ve owned. They helped me take 15min off my commute (14,miles). They are very comfortable. Easy to install the cleats thank you “You Tube”. Practice going slow and taking the cleat off the pedal. Try to think 30feet ahead so you dont fall. Great shoes My feet don’t get hot or tried.Best value from what I can see. ***** stars
