My very first pair of cycling shoes were Pearl Izumi. I tried them on at the cycling shop and they seemed tight, but figured thats how they made them. Those were a size 38. They hurt so bad while cycling, my toes went numb, the arch of my foot cramped- I was not a happy camper. Over the years I tried different brands in size 39 and they were so much better. This year it was time for new shoes and I love the way these look (always looking for something with a splash of color) so I went big and got the size 40. Perfect!! I like the velcro closures too, better than laces (at least to me). So glad I purchased these shoes!

From reading reviews I saw that these shoes ran small. I’m usually an 8-9 in regular shoes depending on the fit, but I took a chance and ordered the size 42 (regular show size 10) and they fit PERFECTLY. This was my first pair of spin shoes so I had to figure out which cleats fit the standard Scwhinn bike at my gym and the Shimano SPD SH51 fit perfectly with the shoe and the bike. You just need a 4mm Allen wrench for easy installation 🙂 great price, style and color for this shoe, highly recommend it! Just size up!
