    Received the carrier and it worked perfectly the first few times I used it. Today while removing the hitch bolt, the hitch bolt broke mid-shaft. This left the rack stuck to my vehicle, unable to be secured or removed. I had to go to a shop to get the remainder of the bolt extracted, which in turn destroyed the threaded sleeve. The hitch is now unsafe to use as it cannot be secured properly.

    I am considering returning it to amazon, unless they can somehow get me a replacement main bar. I have been unable to contact cocoweb through amazon, it just directs me to return/refund the item.

    *update 5/5/15* Contacted Csocoweb via their website and received a response. Additional pictures requested. Will update again when solution is reached.

    *update 5/7/15* customer service rep says they will send out replacement parts next week. Will update when they arrive.

    *update 5/29/15* Parts arrived and fit correctly.

    Rack was delivered on time. Easy to build. Is very heavy.. so for those who are not strong you may want help hooking it to the car. The rack performed perfectly when we used it this weekend.. very easy to get the bikes on and off.. and the adjustable wheel holders were very nice since we have three different sized bikes.

    Nice bike carrier. Strong and heavy duty (weights btw 35-40 lbs.). Strong enough to hold 4 full sized bikes. The bike holders use hook and loop (Velcro) to secure the bikes and they are adjustable. Also fits a standard 2″ receiver and came with a standard hitch pin. It’s what I needed to put on the back of my pickup truck while still able to have the bed free to haul other things. The only drawback is it doesn’t fold down far enough for the tailgate on my truck to lay completely flat. The bolt stop keeps the angle of the carrier too high and the tailgate rests on top of it. The only solution I can see is removing the bolt stop which would allow the fold down part of the carrier to lower further and my tailgate would then open without touching it. I don’t think this will compromise the strength of the unit since it looks like the bolt stop’s purpose is just to keep it from lowering down too far.
