Control Tech Estro 6 Road/Mountain Bike Stem, 80mm, Sand Black
@ One of the most modern stem in the market, provided with new patented system D.C.S. (Diagonal Closing System) This fork clamp closing system has been designed in order to avoid extra load in order not to squeeze and stress the carbon fork steerer. Many riders overtighten the screws when the stem moves and often make the steerer brake. The idea is based on the fact that the two clamp work independently with the diagonal instead of in the center as many stems do, This stem is tested and works for road and MTB.

Buy with threadlock…,
On my first ride, my bars twisted backward while jumping off a 3 inch curb, which 120mm soft suspension. At first I thought the bars weren’t gripping properly, but upon getting home (2 miles of very, very careful handlebar use) I discovered that the face plate bolts had all loosened significantly. Some thread lock and a bit more torque should fix this, but i have never had a stem do this!
The design here is good, and it’s not too heavy. The sand black color is a very flat black with a white logo. It all came as advertised, and apparently works okay with carbon bars, but be sure to tighten the bolts down to the max torque allowance of your parts, otherwise this might just loosen up on you. It’s a great stem otherwise, it just hasn’t left a great first impression! Don’t hesitate to buy this, just be sure to keep an eye on these bolts.

A great value,
I like the idea of the offset steerer tube clamp bolts as well. I don’t have a carbon steerer so I’m not sure if it makes a difference or not.
