So easy to use and works great! I purchased this for family hikes, I’ve got two boys and we can drink A LOT of water in the hot Texas heat. Both the very top seal and the screw top seal on the front of the bag are large enough to fit even bulky ice cubes. I fill this with as much ice as I can and then top it off with water and while this isn’t technically “insulated”, the water stays cold for about 5 hours inside a pack (in 100 degree heat).

I found the mouth piece easy to use. This is the type you need to bite down on in order to use, thought no teeth marks have shown up on our mouth piece thus far. Overall, great product!

I have two of these, one in my internal frame hunting pack (exo mountain gear) and another in my camelbak. Best bladders I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned most of the expensive major brands and use my camelbak everyday.

Easy to fill with ice with that nice clip on top. Clip holds tight and makes a great deal when your done filling. Nice insulator on the tube that also helps protect it from branches and other gear you have on your person. Don’t hesitate, just buy one for every pack.

  3. funny thing….I went through several hydration packs when they became popular and eventually sold them off or gave them away because..if I dont need to carrry a pack on my back then I dont want a sweaty back from hiking….I dont like the plastic taste of water and plastic retains odors….I dont like to suck warm water from a tube as I prefer to drink ….eventually I went back to my WW2 belt canteen for all these reasons…if I go further out then I use 2 canteens…

  4. Im just concerned about how comfortable it would be one of those in my hydration pocket on the inside of my day pack with regard to would it be bothersome when filled up pressing against ones back as ive only used regular water bottles.

  5. when you fill up in a stream like that, you do not fill against the flow of water, it is better to fill up with the flow, better chance of getting less particles, although I have drank out of clean streams like that and have never gotten sick
