    Price is good, but product is not so good. One of the plastic clips broke on my first ride. I now don’t have a way to effectively hang the bag on the rack. Also, the lower portion of the pannier is secured to the rack using a velcro strap. The strap is hard to get wrapped around the lower rack posts once the bag is hooked onto the rack. Your knuckles get beat up by the spokes when you try to secure the velcro in place. I like the size and the extra exterior pockets, but key design parts of the pannier (hook and latch components) are not very good.

    Just biked down the Oregon coast with a Bobin and an Ortlieb pannier. The Bobin ripped on the second day. The bulk of this bag is denier nylon, which is waterproof and very tough. To close or cinch the main compartment there is a thin nylon fabric that cinches together with a drawstring, like the Ortlieb and many packs. The problem with the Bobin is that the stitching connecting this strong denier fabric and very thin nylon is very shoddy and weak. Just by pulling the string to close the bag I managed to rip around half of the thin nylon material off along the stitch-line. What happened then is I had to adjust what and how I was packed for a day of riding, putting the majority of my supplies in the Ortlieb; I found that if I fit too much in the Bobin my items would fall out over bumps and vibrations from the road. The Bobin is otherwise a good product, but it’s unfortunate that this is a such blatant fault. I would not recommend this pannier to anyone. See picture for example.

    This is the size of a brown paper grocery bag, plus some other added zipper pouches to spare. A full bag of food from the store would easily just drop down in it without any spillage.
