As others have commented, it’s sturdy, well build, stylish, and portable. It holds my mountain bike quite well. I’ve uploaded some images… hope that helps in your decision.

I started out leaning my expensive new trek road bike against a workbench in the garage. Until it fell. Happily no damage, but I wanted a stand to prevent more accidents. Came across several do-it-yourself PVC pipe stands online. Tried one, didn’t like it at all. The RAAK and the Willworx both seem to get great reviews here. My local bike store uses the willworx and I didn’t like it much – they seemed to slide around easily, and are designed to accomodate wide mountain bike tires so road bikes tend to flop at a bit of an angle. You can buy foam spacers to improve the fit, but more expense and doesn’t look like a very elegant solution. I’m sure they must work well – if the bikes were falling over those stands would have been long gone from the LBS. But I decided to try the Raak. Glad I did. The horizontal channel has a narrow track that fits a road tire perfectly inside the wider one sized for a mountain bike. Similarly the guide roller on the vertical post has tracks for the different tire widths – it will fit just about anything wihtout any adjustment. Finally, the vertical arm is spring-loaded, so it eases backward to accept your bike and gives a little push forward to assist when you pull it off the stand. Very nice piece of engineering and works very well.

  3. For different rim sizes, can you twist the cone-shaped end of the bike stand to provide a snug fit for different sizes? The video didn't show you adjust that, is that a feature available for this stand? Thanks!

  4. Hi BlueFlyer83 — Just saw your comment.  2.35 tires shouldn't be a problem.  We have used the rack for a 2014 Giant Glory without any problems.  Thanks for the nice comment – Steve

  5. Thanks for posting this video! Been thinking about buying something like this for my apartment. Do you guys have any issues with 2.35 tires from free ride/downhill mountain bikes? Great review!
