Great shoes that are great on the bike and off, September 28, 2015

I got these for a more tennis shoe like bike shoe. I have SPD cleats on them and they do great as bike shoes and the cleats do not scratch or make noise when walking so I can walk anywhere without worry. These look like regular tennis shoes and feel about the same as well. The only thing different is they have a hard sole and sound a little heavier when walking compared to regular tennis shoes. I usually wear a 45 in bike shoes but I got the 44 and they fit perfectly. I will note that I changed the laces to the runner’s lock laces that have the elastic like cable instead of laces; I find these easier to deal with and there is no worry at all about the laces getting caught on anything while riding (the shoe does have a little band to hold the laces in place; but by switching out the laces I remove all worries).

In the end these are great bike shoes that allow me to commute and do things in the city without having to carry an extra pair of shoes while still getting the benefit of being clipped in (I tried riding with platformers on my old pedals, but found once you get used to clipless it is hard to go back…); so these were exactly what I wanted; comfy shoes, good price, look and feel like tennis shoes and can be worn anywhere.

Great shoe! I’m a US size 14 and these size 49 fit just like any other 14. Very comfortable off the bike and for me a great first shoe!
